February 22, 2021

It was so good to be together yesterday for worship! After record colds and missing a Sunday and two Wednesdays, it was wonderful being together, hearing your voices as we sang and the sweet fellowship we enjoyed. Unfortunately, we had an internet problem and so there was no livestream and no recording of the service. We believe we have fixed the problem and we plan to livestream the funeral service for our brother, Bob Smith, this Wednesday, February 24, at 11:00 am.

I had one of those Rip Van Winkle moments this morning. I thought, “I must have slept an awful long time.” I looked at my weather app this morning and it said high today of 64 and 72 tomorrow! Wasn’t it just last week it was -13? Life in our great state.

I have to let you know how grateful I am for your faithfulness and generosity. Even with not meeting on the 14th our offerings have remained constant. For January we took in $3,000 over what was spent and February is solid to this point. Thank you for your continued faithfulness. I also thank you for your prayers as we have been rethinking ministry approaches and strategies regarding our on-going discipleship and equipping ministry. We will be calling a meeting soon for all our Sunday School teachers and share with them some of our thinking. We will also present our findings at our next business meeting as we seek to implement some changes to add to and compliment what we are already doing.

Please continue to pray for the Smith and Bartel families as we gather to celebrate Bob and Dean’s life this week. I hope to see you and your family as we gather for worship this coming Lord’s Day.
