It was great to see some “new” familiar faces in worship this past Sunday! With each week we are seeing a return to normalcy. One such indicator is that we are meeting later this afternoon to begin planning for Vacation Bible School, look for more information coming out soon. The mask mandate for Tulsa is due to expire at the end of this week. We are grateful for that, but that does not mean we will go back to pre-COVID standards. We still will continue to ask you to respect others and their space. There are those who remain vulnerable and we want to accommodate as best we can. Some will continue to mask, others will not. We must respect the judgment of others as we each take responsibility for our own health and safety. We will still not be passing the offering plates. Our system is working well and we do not see a reason, at this point, to reinstate that practice. Offering plates can be found in the foyer and on the prayer benches at the front of the worship center. You may place your offering in any of them before or after the service. With more and more of our folks vaccinated, the likelihood of infection decreases but we will continue to clean to the standards we have established and encourage you to remain vigilant with hand-washing and doing what you can to ensure a safe environment.
I also want to remind you, we are having a work day this coming Saturday, May 1. We have put together a list of projects for the day and we would appreciate any who can come and help. At this time most of the projects will be outside as we work on and around the buildings. We will begin at 9:00 AM. If you can work for an hour or all day, we would appreciate any time you could give us.
I hope you will join us for worship this coming Lord’s Day as we continue our study of Judges, that ancient book with a very up to date message!
